I found this blazer while thrifting, actually my daughter found the jacket and it fit me better than her, otherwise she would be styling this over at her blog, jemappelleshen.wordpress.com.
It’s a Lillie Rubin and I just love the colorblocking, the colors chosen and the style of the blazer.
Lillie Rubin was founded in 1946 in Miami, Florida. They are a specialty clothing chain, selling primarily special occasion and evening dresses. In 1990 the company was bought by Cache’, who added a sportswear line. In 2006 all the Lillie Rubin stores were closed or converted to Cache’.

Here are some examples of what the tags look like when you’re out thrifting to help you spot her line.
The label in my blazer looks like the second one, and it’s from the 80’s. When I’m not sure about a find or how much to spend I check out the Vintage Fashion Guild, a good resource for this kind of info.
I paired it with my favorite new shirt the abstract circles and stripes, which has the identical colors with the exception of the lime green found in the blazer.
I thought playing it down with the bikers shorts and belt would give it a more casual twist, yet still fun.
Blazer, Shirt – Thrifted, Bikers shorts – random, belt – thrifted, shoes – Ash, Sunglasses – Porsche wrap-arounds from my “vintage specs” collection
As Always,
